September and October

This time has been an amazing time for me encountering God, hearing His voice and trusting what He says and being obedient to do it. This time has been a time in which I’ve been growing deeper in many areas of my life. One of these areas is in being a leader by example and reflecting God’s love to the people around me.

God gave me the opportunity to be part of a school in YWAM San Jose which is about community development. We have 17 students. They’ll be with us for 3 months to equip themselves with principles and tools in order to work in different areas in Costa Rica and other parts of the world that God has placed in their hearts to implement these ideas in different areas of the world. It has been a great privilege to journey with them in the teachings, team dynamics, worldview, intimacy with God and spiritual mapping.

I’ve been journeying with God and He has given me confirmation about my calling to work with people from India. In my quiet times with God He has given me pictures. I saw the map of India in front of me, very dark. God covered me with His fire and when that happened, torches started to be lit in different areas of the country. In another, I was holding God’s hand and God passed His fire on to me. Above us, there was a line of all the gods of India, and our flame began to burn all the gods. God’s heart and God’s intentions for me to go to India and bring truth and to be an example of His love will be one of the ways that He can break through and tell people how much he loves them.

It has been wonderful to see God’s hands and God’s intentions for YWAM San Jose with my own eyes, seeing God provide through work and always going an extra mile with the correct attitude. It’s cool to see this place as a home and I feel very privileged to be part of this new season for YWAM San Jose and to see what God is doing in so many lives right now because of simple people being willing to do His will He is glorifying His name in the lives of so many youth. They will change the way they live with principles and learning how to hear God’s voice and being obedient, which will change the environment around them.

On October 11 I was able to go home and visit my family. God surprised me because my Pastor invited me to share. I started to pray about what I was able to share and it was incredible how He put his words in my mouth when I started to preach. That night God blessed me and I was able to bless and encourage other people by sharing God’s love through a teaching.

On October 18th the Colombian church did an activity for YWAM San Jose because they were grateful to YWAM for their help. They made a nice lunch for us and dedicated the service to gratitude for all the help that we had offered to them and the way we had partnered with them.

God is moving us towards the dream of the University of Nations in San Jose

I'm very grateful to be a part of what God is doing in our midst.  He's opened the doors in amazing ways, giving us peace and confirmation to go forward with his big dream of the University of the Nations here in San Jose.  The place that God has given us used to be a coffee processing plant that exported coffee internationally.  Now it will be exporting missionaries and they will bring hope, light and life to the cities and communities of the nations starting in our own country right now.

Off to the right you can see where the prayer room will be.

I'm thankful that I was able to spend quality time with my sister and see her working for the Lord with a humble heart as well.  She came to help with the new property and to be a part of what God is doing there.

This is going to be a room to host short term teams and slingshot attendees.

I'm very happy to be good friends with Claudia, Daniel, and Lemuel.

Working hard for a weekend without sleep.

The DTS in my community
I'm very grateful to God that I was able to connect the DTS and my church and I was able to see God work in my community and in the DTS students.  I went to Tabarcia Saturday night because I had been working in the new property and I hadn't been with the DTS students.  I saw so many new people in my church.  I also saw so many youth that I really love to see in my church.  There was a young girl there with her son.  This girl has been abused and came from a family where no one was Christian.  She was at church on Saturday night worshipping God because the DTS impacted my community.  Around 15 youth were there that night that weren't Christians.  I'm grateful that the pastor is open to working with YWAM right now.  A lot of other people in my church want to join YWAM and do missions because they have seen that normal people can impact the nations and the communities while still being normal human beings that are being obedient to the will of God.
